Congratulations to Melinda Crawford, RN and TRS healthcare professional, for receiving the Heroes with Halos award from Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation! She is among a number of elite healthcare professionals who earned the honor in 2014. Heroes with Halos is a program of the hospital foundation that allows patients to say thank you for the care they received while at the hospital.
Melinda recently completed an assignment in the recovery room at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark., and she made a very special impression on the life of one patient there. She made such an impact that it prompted the patient to write a thank-you note to the hospital about Melinda. The note thanked Melinda for the comfort and care she provided after the patient’s surgery. This note led the hospital foundation to award Melinda the Heroes with Halos honor. While we don’t know the patient’s name, Melinda said “it really makes you feel good.”
She only worked there for a short time, but she quickly gained the confidence of her co-workers. She often volunteered to be on call, and she said she brought in goodies for her co-workers to enjoy. Melinda comforted and restored so many lives at the hospital, and made a huge impact on the life of one patient in particular. She is our hero with a halo.
