On February a trauma patient was admitted to the Emergency Room. The patient was in critical condition. Ramona S and Sharolyn J used excellent nursing measures to stabilize the patient.
Through the use of the Level one for fluid warming and a Bair Hugger they normalized the patient’s temperatures. With each increase in core temperature her blood pressure began to normalize and she began to show reaction on a muscular and neurological level. We ended up not having to take her to the Operating Room.
Was it due to Nursing Measuring alone, maybe not, but the excellent care this patient received I am sure contributed to this positive outcome. I am so grateful as a Nurse Anesthetist to be working beside such a fine ER Nursing Team.” ~ Darla J, CRNA
