As a wife and mother of three, Amy Neugebauer says having a career that allows her to spend time with her family is extremely important.
Recognizing that her previous role as a restaurant manager didn’t align with her desired lifestyle, Amy started looking for other positions that would be a better fit. During her search, she came across a role that interested her: working for TRS Healthcare.
Once she started with TRS, Amy quickly felt she had made the right choice. “I knew this was somewhere I was going to be for a while,” she says. “The atmosphere at TRS is great. It’s just this big family that empowers you to be who you want to be.”
One of the things Amy loves most about working at TRS Healthcare is how leadership invests in the career growth of employees. “I’m always looking to grow and see what’s next for me, and leadership tries to find what fits you. It’s like, ‘Let’s find that balance for you and the company.’”
This approach has definitely helped shape Amy’s career with TRS Healthcare, from her beginnings as a profile coordinator to her current position as Credentials Senior Team Lead—a role she stepped into nearly three years ago. In fact, the position didn’t exist until she advocated for its creation.
“Once I got into Credentials and found out this is where I want to be, the question was: What’s next? So, I talked to the VP at that time, gave my insight, and that’s when I became a team lead,” Amy explains.
In her current position, Amy helps ensure TRS travel healthcare professionals are properly certified to work in their positions. “Credentialing is all about collecting certifications and documents to make sure travelers are qualified once they get their assignment. Travelers have a lot to keep up with, and we help them from start to finish.”
All in all, Amy is excited to be part of TRS Healthcare and continue to watch the company grow. She says the most fulfilling aspect of her job has been empowering travel healthcare professionals to work the jobs they want.
“Travelers have a million different things to do, so we’re there to give them all the information they need to be successful,” she explains. “It’s so rewarding when they’re able to go to work.”
