March 2025, Tontitown, AR – Leading nationwide healthcare staffing firm TRS Healthcare has announced Jacqueline Jones, RN, as its 2024 Nurse of the Year. This award recognizes exceptional nursing among TRS Healthcare travel nurses.
Jones received her plaque, a monetary gift, and a matching amount that she can designate as a gift to a healthcare charity of her choice.
Jones is a registered nurse who began traveling with TRS Healthcare in 2009, specializing in Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and has completed over 40 assignments with TRS Healthcare, working as a travel nurse in hospitals across several states.
Virginia Johnson, her recruiter for more than five years, nominated Jones for the TRS Healthcare Nurse of the Year award.
“She is an incredibly deserving individual. We have so many amazing nurses who have all sorts of wonderful stories, but Jacqueline is just one of those genuine people where you can just see the love and compassion beaming forth from her. She is also the type of person who will provide her nursing skills where they are needed most. I admire her greatly,” said Johnson.
According to Johnson, Jones has demonstrated exceptional compassion and skill in her nursing career while also going above and beyond for her family. Motivated by her loved ones’ health challenges, she pursued nursing to make a difference in others’ lives.
“We love the TRS Nurse of the Year program and recognizing our travel nurses for their crucial contributions to healthcare and the communities they serve,” said Taylor Faught, CEO of TRS Healthcare. “We’re so proud of Jacqueline and everything she’s done for her patients, peers, and her family. She truly embodies compassion and dedication.”
“Wow, to think that out of all the nurses that are with TRS, and I’m the Nurse of the Year? That’s great!” said Jones upon receiving the news she’d received the 2024 award. “I’m thanking God first. Thank you to my TRS family for the recognition. And last but definitely not least, thank you, Virginia Johnson, you are the best.”
